Composition of movements


1 song Ouverture, D major 4/4 beat, 3 part format and has big musical instrument. At a slow tempo, the trumpet plays the subject, followed by the fugue. In the fugue part, the concerto-style Tutti and solo perform alternately.


2 songs Air, D major 4/4 beat, dance type. Only proceed to string ensemble without playing wind instruments. The first violin plays the subject and the consonant bass goes on accompaniment.


3 songs Gavotte, D major 2/2 Beats, two parts and the second part in trio format.


4 songs Bourrée, D major 2/2, short, without a trio, the theme is presented by the oboe and the first violin in sync rhythm.


5 songs Gigue, D major 6/8 beats, and a normal jig is a fast dance form used at the end of the Clavier suite. The common type of jig, the fugue technique, is not used.
